The present study was carried out with the support of the IT Cluster of Norte de Santander, made up of thirty-one (31) companies from the technology industry seeking to describe relevant aspects of Project management practices. The research process of the collection of data supported by the survey carried out by the PMI institute, called "Pulse of the Profession" in which variables of interest are taken into account, such as: the existence of a Project office, level of application of standards and good practices applied, among others. Likewise, the analysis of the information is carried out by consolidating data taken from the selected simple, which in this case are the managers or professionals with experience in managing technology projects of the companies under study. Finally, the project concludes that a mínimum number of IT companies comply with the three elements of success of the projects according to PMI: objectives and proposed bussiness scope, time and initial Budget, inadequate cost estimation, dependence on resources, lack of management practices and changes in the priorities of the organizations are the factors that most influenced Project success rates in SMEs.

The comparative analysis of the two (2) enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, Odoo and Openbravo, was a research work that began with the characterization of the ERP tools, the description of the general characteristics, the functionalities (hardware and software) and the advantages and disadvantages of each ERP system. The criteria for each aspect evaluated were selected under the ERP System Selection Methodology (MSSE) [1], establishing the weights or ratings for each of the functional, technical, vendor, service and economic aspects of each ERP under study, allowing an individual evaluation and comparison of the two (2) systems with the ultimate goal of selecting the highest scoring tool and defining the degree of coupling with the company in the mining sector in Norte de Santander, Cúcuta Colombia. Finally, the conclusions of the research were presented to the research community, as well as to the bibliographic references studied.

This article describes the results of the research paper "Characterization of ICT management of the Coal production sector in Norte de Santander against the guidelines of the current Strategic Plan for ICT in the Mining and Energy sector". The objective of the study details the characteristics of ICT management and its use in the unified environment of mining and energy sector companies in Norte de Santander. As a result, the basic architecture aligned with the ICT strategic plan of the mining and energy sector was identified, which includes: document and archive management, process management, geographic information management, and security. In the same way, the limitations, capacities and state of maturity of the ICT management of the mission processes of the coal supply chain are specified, taking into account the level of integration with systems external to the sector such as the mining cadastre and the Ministry of Mines and Energy, among several and finally the information systems and tools used in decision making.

The "Universidad Francisco de Paula Santander, Colombia" lacks a dynamic tool to give the academic community timely knowledge of events and information needs in an assertive manner and in a reasonable time. Based on the above and following the dissemination strategy designed by the "Centro de Comunicaciones y Medios Audiovisuales" to incorporate the use of technology to massify internal institutional information, is built the mobile application NotiUFPS for Android devices, which allows notifying all events that take place at the university, including the calendar of previous and academic calendar, with the compatibility of downloading information in pdf format. The application will make use of global positioning system, to send timely notifications and updated information of institutional events when the user is inside the university campus. NotiUFPS was developed using "Metodología Ágil para Dispositivos Móviles", a methodology developed by the "Grupo de Investigación en Desarrollo e Ingeniería de Software, Universidad Francisco de Paula Santander, San José de Cúcuta, Colombia", which consolidates development practices recognized as Scrum and XP.

La telefonía de voz sobre el protocolo de Internet IP (VoIP) contempla beneficios en la implementación, permitiendo la comunicación entre usuarios de la empresa, sucursales y demás interesados representando un ahorro; siendo esta tecnología tendencia en comunicación telefónica empresarial y posibilitando la transmisión de voz humana a través de redes de transmisión de datos. Profundizando en esta tecnología y en sus beneficios, se diseña una central telefónica para el Departamento de Sistemas e Informática como modelo piloto en la Universidad Francisco de Paula Santander, ofreciendo servicios VoIP. Este modelo es factible de extender a la sede Cúcuta y demás sedes y dependencias dispersas geográficamente como; Los Patios, los CREAD (Centros Regionales de Educación Abierta y a Distancia) y la Seccional Ocaña. En esta implementación de la Central Privada Automática PBX (Private Branch Exchange), se considera aplicar las buenas prácticas para la gestión de servicios informáticos ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) que permita lograr la calidad y eficiencia en las operaciones asociadas a la solución de comunicaciones propuesta. La ventaja de este tipo de tecnología es el ahorro para la organización que la implemente; debido a que la VoIP, se transmite a través de las redes de datos de la organización y es posible enrutar a través de la red Internet servicios estratégicos que se Integren con sistemas de atención a cliente y centros de llamadas de call center, vía soluciones abiertas o propietarias de la institución. Además, el servicio se optimiza con alojamiento en la nube, centralizando la administración, el mantenimiento y la gestión lo cual redundará en los beneficios económicos de bajos costos y fácil escalabilidad. El proyecto desde la perspectiva institucional es importante, puesto que es un sistema de comunicaciones el cual busca mejorar el servicio al cliente y a las personas que intervienen en los procesos organizacionales; dejando de utilizar medios de comunicación personal en actividades laborales.
