The present research aims to evaluate the physicochemical variables involved in the anaerobic digestion process to produce methane from manure on an agricultural farm; the farm has 2 equines that generate 12 Kg of manure per day. A manure sample was collected, and the following physicochemical parameters were determined: total solids, volatile solids, chemical oxygen demand, and pH. A tubular household biodigester was then implemented, consisting mainly of a polyethylene geomembrane that stores the organic matter and in which anaerobic digestion takes place. The performance of the biodigester was determined by the removal of organic matter quantified by volatile solids and chemical oxygen demand in the biodigester influent and digestate, of which removal of 82% of volatile solids and 74% of chemical oxygen demand was achieved. The average biogas production was 0.5 m3 /day, and its lower heating value was 26,000 kJ/m3 . The pH level of the biodigester was within the range of 6-7, in order to keep the methanogenic bacteria active, in charge of carrying out physicochemical process that guarantees anaerobic digestion and thus, the production of biogas.

        . Clay is a cohesive material that varies in volume due to changes in humidity and temperature. Its behavior is studied with physical and geotechnical characterization of the material. The experimental analysis of the expansiveness of clays is related to plasticity, which depends on the expansive minerals it contains. The objective is to analyze the relationship between the plasticity index and the expansion capacity due to changes in humidity and temperature; various types of clay from San José de Cúcuta, Colombia, were studied. Liquid limit and plastic limit were analyzed with which the plasticity index was determined. The test tube free expansion and calcination were carried out at 1000 °C to determine the volumetric change due to humidity and temperature, respectively. The clays with plasticity index of 10% - 20% presented expansion by humidity of 5% - 10% and by calcination of 0% - 10%, which indicates low expansion; while the clay with plasticity index of 20% - 40% presented expansion by moisture of 20% - 50% and by calcination of 25% - 50%, which indicates moderately high expansion. The results show that there is a relationship between plasticity index and the expansion capacity due to changes in humidity and temperature.

        A thermodynamic analysis of a hybrid gas turbine solar plant, represented in three basic subsystems related to the power cycle, the combustion chamber subsystem, and the solar concentrator subsystem, allows evaluating the performance of a hybrid cycle from a reduced number of parameters, which include energy losses in each of its components. The solar radiation values are estimated with an evaluated and validated theoretical model, the combustion chamber uses natural gas as fuel and the numerical values of the system are taken from the Solugas experimental plant in Spain. This work presents an integrated model that allows to estimate the operation of a hybrid solar Brayton power plant in any place and day of the year. The evaluation of the plant in Barranquilla, Colombia is shown from the influence of the regenerator has on the plant performance and solar concentrating system. The results show that the regenerator can increase the overall efficiency of the plant by 29% and allows reaching a maximum temperature of the central receiver of the concentrator of 1044 K at noon, when solar radiation is maximum.

        . Bismuth and titanium are elements with remarkable properties and applications in technological developments and in the field of biomedical engineering. The sol-gel method was used to form a bismuth-titanium system, which allowed to establish if it was possible to obtain films with anticorrosive properties on 316L stainless steel. The anticorrosive response was evaluated by means of Tafel curves, defining the parameters to obtain thin and functional films with good tribological properties. The coatings were obtained by the spin coating technique, varying the spin speeds from 3000 rpm to 5000 rpm with monolayer and bilayer systems. More positive values of corrosion potential were obtained when the steel is coated by the films, which implies a lower propensity to corrosion in saline medium, lower corrosion rates and higher potentials are reported for films with higher titanium content, likewise, better efficiency of the films with respect to the uncoated substrate is presented, the higher the titanium content and a strong influence between the calculated efficiencies and the centrifugation speeds is not observed

        El desarrollo de software es considerado una actividad compleja debido a que intervienen un conjunto de personas especializadas en lenguajes y herramientas de programación que realizan tareas bien definidas dentro de la implementación del software. En este contexto de trabajo, se hace necesario que el estudiante en su inicio de formación como desarrollador de software, tome habilidades en buenas prácticas de desarrollo, una de los cuales comprende la utilización de sistemas de controles de versiones que permiten el registro y control de cambios de proyectos de software en repositorios específicos de código de programación donde interactúan varios usuarios. El propósito de este trabajo es presentar una estrategia de aprendizaje denominada GIT-SEED basada en casos donde el estudiante trabaje de forma colaborativa con el uso de un sistema de control de versiones bajo la plataforma GitLab, desde esta perspectiva se ofrece un mecanismo de apoyo para las habilidades de trabajo en equipo, análisis y pruebas de código de programación, despliegue de aplicaciones en entornos reales de trabajo y manejo de procesos de desarrollo de software ágiles. Los escenarios de prueba de la estrategia fueron aplicados a los estudiantes de estructura de datos y programación web del Programa de Ingeniería de Sistemas de la Universidad Francisco de Paula Santander, los resultados demuestran la gran afinidad y apropiación que tienen los estudiantes en el uso de estas herramientas y la facilidad de integración de sus aplicaciones con los componentes creados en su equipo de trabajo.         In the process of teaching and training students and new professionals, constructive actions and didactic spaces must be open where the teacher encourages the integral growth of their students, strengthening different technical/academic aspects and personal skills. With a good orientation and implementation of appropriate pedagogical practices, the teacher will have the ability to teach and create spaces to socialize, discuss and reflect about experiences that generate, not only the construction of new knowledge, but also the strengthening of principles and qualities in students, such as responsibility, honesty, equity, respect and the ability to reason to solve problems and conflicts. All this promotes the formation of human capital capable of confronting and solving different aspects and challenges that may be encountered in their training process and professional development. The present proceedings are part of the contributions of the participants in the IV International Seminar on Pedagogical Practice (IV ISPP) which was held from 26 to 27 August 2021, in the city of San José de Cúcuta, Colombia; congress was organized by the "Facultad de Educación, Artes y Humanidades" of the Universidad Francisco de Paula Santander, San José de Cúcuta, Colombia The main purpose of the IV ISPP was to create a space for training and academic and scientific cooperation for the construction, exchange, and development of research that aimed at the consolidation of innovation processes in education and pedagogical practices. This edition of the IV ISPP has emphasized the research, innovations, and reflections on didactics of natural sciences (mathematics, physics, chemistry, and biology) and its applications at both educational and scientific. The IV ISPP was attended by researchers, teachers of the basic, middle, and higher education, graduate and undergraduate students from Colombia, Argentina, Mexico, Chile, El Salvador, and Spain, who shared their contributions in the fields of teaching and applications of natural sciences (physics, mathematics, chemistry, biology, physics-mathematics, physical-chemistry, biophysics, Statistics, and education). On behalf of the organizing committee of the IV ISPP, we are extremely thankful to all authors and participants for providing their valuable contributions to this Proceedings volume as well as the reviewers for their constructive recommendations and criticism aiding to improve the presented articles. Likewise, we like to thank the Universidad Francisco de Paula Santander (UFPS), and the Foundation of Researchers in Materials Science and Technology (FORISTOM), and Red Iberoamericana de Pedagogia (REDIPE), for all the support technical and logistical received.
