Colombia es un país con vocación de apertura económica. En la actualidad cuenta con tratados comerciales con los bloques económicos más poderosos del mundo y, por ende, su aparato productivo debe ser competitivo y eficiente. Un factor clave de competitividad empresarial es la innovación tecnológica, por lo que empresas, sectores económicos, Estado y sociedad implementan estrategias con el fin de lograr niveles adecuados de innovación y el máximo beneficio económico y social. El objetivo de esta investigación es establecer el nivel de innovación de las empresas manufactureras de Norte de Santander (Colombia). Para ello se utilizó metodología cuantitativa a través del Índice de Situación y Adecuación Tecnología (TASI2), que mide doce factores de desempeño organizacional. Los resultados señalan que las grandes y medianas empresas tienen un nivel de innovación tecnológica aceptable. Hay que destacar que tres indicadores están calificados como deficientes, mientras que los demás califican como aceptables o buenos. Las empresas pequeñas y microempresas muestran un nivel deficiente; solo dos de los indicadores califican como aceptables; los demás, como deficientes.

Patent development in the peach production and transformation field: a technological monitoring study

This article presents a study on patent development, as part of the results of the project "A Study of Technological Control and Competitive Intelligence, Applied to the Cultivation and Commercialization of Peach (Prunus persica L.), Amarillo jarillo variety, in the Province of Pamplona, Colombia"; a Project approved and financed by the National Open and at Distance University (U NAD). The study was carried out during the process of search and selection of information regarding inventions developed within the peach production and/or transformation framework. The investigated databases included Patentscope of the World Intellectual Property Organization (OMPI) and Espacenet of the European Patent Office (EPO). Various specialised tools were used in the search for data and information on patents, with which it was possible to establish progress on inventions, applications and classification of patent families, publication dates, inventors, and countries with the greatest number of inventions, and technological development originated from the fruit investigation processes or their industrial derivatives. Regarding the patented inventions in the last few years in Spanish—speal<ing countries, developments have been made in Argentina, Mexico and Spain. In the case of Colombia, it was established that the developments are scarce, with some processes registered in the area offood and food products preservation.

Se analiza la perspectiva que tienen los estudiantes universitarios sobre su propia inteligencia y se compara con los conceptos que hay en torno a este constructo dentro de la literatura. El estudio tiene un enfoque mixto y un doble diseño: no experimental descriptivo y documental. Se aplicó un cuestionario a 473 estudiantes y se adelantó un análisis de codificación-categorización sobre algunos estudios. Los resultados muestran una visión algo restringida sobre la inteligencia entre los estudiantes.

The objective of this research is to analyze the role of the Colombian business sector in the post-conflict scenario and the construction of peace from the perception of entrepreneurs. It is a study framed in the empirical-analytical paradigm and the quantitative approach. The research has an explanatory level and non-experimental design. A questionnaire was used as a tool that was applied to 200 companies, from the main cities of Colombia, belonging to the commercial, services, manufacturing and financial sectors. The main findings show that entrepreneurs are willing to participate in post-conflict from different mechanisms, although there is a lack of knowledge of most of these. Likewise, employers’ concerns about the scope of their participation in the post-conflict are evident, which allows concluding the need for the State to establish clearly and precisely the linkage of the private sector in the process, and the ways of articulating the institutional activity with the possible support of companies.

The investigation aimed to analyze the influence of physic-technological change as a factor of competitiveness in the textile and footwear industry in San José de Cúcuta, Colombia. The methodology follows a mixed approach supported by factorial, phenomenological and documentary analysis designs, using instruments such as interviews and surveys, scientific production databases and governmental and trade union reports of the sector. The physic-technological change was conceived by businessmen as a productive process, innovative, of social change, and transformation with associated factors of strategic management, culture of market planning, problem that solves, reach, control of success, materials such as systems based on silicone, polymers, panels and closed air pressure grilles, as well as improvements in sole material and use of recyclable material according to environmental policies, reduction of time of product development, marketing of the invention, resources, management of risk, productivity and competitiveness, depend on type of changes implemented or designed in companies of low, medium or high level and are associated with factor of competitiveness. It is concluded that technological change as a competitiveness factor allows maintaining or increasing market share and endogenous changes in productive and technological systems in the market.

This article presents the results of the research project: "Time Management Method for Software Development Projects", where a method was used to calculate the time spent on a software development project from its preparation phase until the delivery of it, applying the best practices of the PMBOK 5th edition, the RUP methodology and the estimation metric per Use Cases, so that companies and people dedicated to this activity, execute the project time estimation and carry out an effective programming of their activities. The proposed method consists of six phases: preparation, initiation, planning, development, testing and delivery, where inputs, activities, tools, roles and output artefacts are defined, allowing time to be calculated in each phase. The validation of the method was carried out through of the expert judgment technique, obtaining a favorable result that shows the degree of acceptance of it. According to the evaluation, the method provides a level of precision in the estimates of time, defines activities that provide a basis for estimating, planning, executing, monitoring and controlling the research project, as well as an appropriate logical sequence of activities.

La integración social e inclusión como eje transversal en la educación en Colombia han tenido un desarrollo característico dentro de las prácticas pedagógicas en los distintos niveles educativos. La investigación tuvo como propósito llegar a la comprensión de las prácticas pedagógicas y las representaciones sociales que emergen en el aula y fuera de ella por docentes y estudiantes universitarios pertenecientes a la tribu Inga, en torno al desarrollo de las Competencias Ciudadanas. La investigación se enmarca en el enfoque cualitativo sustentada en el método etnográfico hermenéutico, herramienta válida para la comprensión de los significados dados en un momento histórico. Categorías emergentes se enmarcan en los ámbitos de los estándares de Competencias Ciudadanas formulados por el Ministerio de Educación Nacional, convivencia y paz; participación y responsabilidad democrática y pluralidad, identidad y valoración de las diferencias, así mismo emergen categorías en vivienda, roles en la comunicación, trabajo. Conclusión: educación para la vida, la preservación de la salud y la naturaleza, es familia emergente asociada a la convivencia, comunicación, la transferencia de conocimiento y de la sociedad en la interacción con estudiantes de tribu Inga.
