La investigación sigue un enfoque mixto. Su objetivo es diseñar un modelo estructural que identifique variables explicativas del proceso de compra de artesanías y extractos de plantas medicinales a la comunidad inga. Desde el método etnográfico en investigación cualitativa, y utilizando elementos del diseño factorial y correlacional, basado en el modelo de ecuaciones estructurales (SEM) del enfoque cuantitativo, se implementan instrumentos de entrevista, observación y encuesta a una muestra constituida por 500 transeúntes consumidores de productos naturales y 280 integrantes de la comunidad inga del municipio de Cúcuta, Colombia. Los resultados permiten identificar categorías emergentes como planeación territorial participativa, contexto, igualdad de derechos, producción sustentable, organización, investigación e innovación, mercadeo y capacitaciones como inversión natural; así mismo, dentro de una inversión ambiental, factores de capacidad de talento humano, uso de prácticas ancestrales, factores sociales, producto, afecto y tecnología inciden en el comportamiento del consumidor como irrupción del orden social. Se concluye que a partir del modelo logit se identifica la representación cultural influida por el comportamiento del consumidor de productos en la oferta de las tribus.

Conceptions of distance education and financial mathematics from an onto-historical understanding

Mathematics as a system of knowledge organized in distance education, in continuous expansion is applied in almost all disciplines of knowledge, is aimed at stimulating the development of cognitive skills, as well as analytical and critical skills, whose importance lies in the theory of value, seeks to discover manifestations to the development of the capacity for self-determination, collective autonomy and solidarity. The research was developed under the mixed paradigm, supported by a historical-dialectical and quantitative approach of confirmatory factor analysis, having as key informant's managers, tutors, graduates and students of different programs of distance education. His ontology from the nature of the reality, was to generate a theoretical and didactic approach from the onto - historical understanding of financial mathematics in the trajectory of programs in distance education. The results obtained show that there is a significant relationship between the modality, the critical dialogical approach in the teaching of financial mathematics and technology. It is concluded that the conception of distance education is determined as an opportunity to be professional, for low-income youth who live in vulnerable areas, and have labour commitments. The structural model identifies factors, motivation, human relationships and resources, associated with the conception and development of cognitive skills in financial mathematics

El desarrollo del pensamiento reflexivo en la formación de personas integrales

En el presente artículo se dan a conocer resultados de investigación cuyo objetivo fue analizar experiencias en el crecimiento de plantas como la Durana y la Salvia donde el estudiante desarrolla competencias en plantear y resolver problemas que le permitieron argumentar, modelar, comunicar sobre las matemáticas en mejora de su rendimiento académico. La metodología siguió un enfoque cuantitativo, diseño experimental de tipo campo, aplicado a una muestra de 180 estudiantes de programas de ingeniería. Resultados: Un 95% de los estudiantes permaneció en el curso, 99% obtuvo nota por encima del promedio general institucional en cálculo integral. Conclusión: Aplicación en crecimiento de plantas permitió desarrollar competencias en plantear y resolver problemas, desarrollo del pensamiento matemático, analizar variables y cambios en un tiempo, modelar situaciones; argumentar, representar entidades. El uso de blogs permitió la generación de nuevos métodos de estudio, y diferentes formas de evaluación y coevaluación del aprendizaje, positivas tanto para estudiantes como profesores.

Mathematics, in populations with Special Educational Needs, must be worked from the context of the students and with problems that they can show leading them to apply the concepts and solutions to everyday life. In this context, the present study is based on the objective of implementing pedagogical strategies based on the use of the Educaplay interactive platform for the learning of mathematics in populations with special educational needs in the "Carmen Teresiano" school in the city of San José de Cúcuta, Colombia. From the theoretical point of view, it is based on humanist theory and the cognitive paradigm; on the other hand, it is based on the manual of the teacher of children with special educational needs of the "Ministerio de Educación", Chile. Methodologically, it is a quasi-experimental study of pre- and post-test with only one group. The results of the pretest reflect deficiencies in the use of basic mathematical contents in the target population, which allowed for the design and implementation of an intervention plan and then to reapply, under the same conditions, the post-test. This resulted in an increase in the execution of the questions posed, which demonstrates the effectiveness of the intervention plan.

Errors and difficulties in solving algebraic procedures in secondary school students

The research presented was aimed at determining the errors and difficulties presented by secondary school students in a Colombian public educational institution when faced with the solution of algebraic procedures. A contribution is sought to contribute to studies that monitor the performance of the teaching and learning processes of students. The methodology was based on the quantitative paradigm with a descriptive design, for which two instruments were applied to detect errors and difficulties in students. The results allowed to detect that, of the 12 errors that were taken as dimensions, six are significantly replicated, the most significant being the simple calculation error, unfinished procedure and the errors when performing arithmetic-algebraic operations. Participants allege associated difficulties, mostly to teaching problems, which generated guidelines aimed at teachers in order to raise didactic situations related to error as a source of learning.

Los estudiantes excelentes en su rendimiento académico enfrentan retos y dificultades asociados a las relaciones sociales que desarrollan al convivir dentro del ámbito escolar. En estudios similares se encuentran limitantes como la identificación de las variables involucradas sin llegar a establecer su nivel de correlación en la experiencia educativa. El objetivo de la investigación fue evaluar el impacto del alto rendimiento académico en las relaciones interpersonales de los jóvenes adolescentes. La metodología empleada responde al enfoque mixto, en el ámbito cuantitativo sigue un método correlacional, diseño factorial, desde el ámbito cualitativo sigue un método etnográfico, está diseñada para tres fases y aplica instrumentos del test de empatía de Davis (IRI) y test mini-mental a 1140 estudiantes con alto rendimiento académico, entrevista y observación. Los resultados obtenidos reflejan que existe una relación significativa entre el éxito académico de los estudiantes, la edad, el funcionamiento cognitivo, la actitud hacia las ciencias y la calidad de las relaciones que tienen con sus compañeros, en general tienden a mostrarse menos emocionales e interesados en cultivar lazos significativos. En la actualidad resulta esencial considerar de manera holística la experiencia educativa de las nuevas generaciones, especialmente ante la posibilidad de formar seres humanos integrales y con bienestar que puedan ser asertivos frente a los obstáculos del futuro. Se concluye que el funcionamiento cognitivo, tiene un efecto directo y positivo sobre la dimensión utilitaria o instrumental de la motivación y actitud hacia las ciencias donde el estudiante exitoso concede más importancia y, en consecuencia, presta más atención a la componente emocional por la ciencia.

The study developed, and which is presented succinctly in this report, aimed to implement an intervention plan with the GeoGebra software tool for geometric reasoning in ninth grade students of the San José Educational Institution of the city of San José de Cúcuta. Methodologically, it is a quasi-experimental study of pretest and posttest with control group. The pretest showed flaws in Geometric Reasoning in the students, both in the control and experimental groups. These results led to the design and implementation of a Treatment Plan for the experimental group using the GeoGebra software tool. After applying the posttest, it was demonstrated, through its results, that the Plan was highly significant, since a high percentage of the students of the experimental group correctly answered the questions of the instrument on geometric reasoning.

La investigación tiene por objeto analizar la incidencia de los gráficos digitales en el aprendizaje del cálculo. Sigue un enfoque cuantitativo con apoyo cualitativo mediante el uso de elementos del ciberperiodismo y a partir de métodos cuantitativos. El proceso se desarrolló en instituciones de educación básica de Ocaña y Tibú (Colombia), con un grupo de estudiantes en edades entre 10 y 15 años de edad. El objetivo del proyecto fue diseñar y aplicar una estrategia pedagógica para el desarrollo de la competencia en la resolución de problemas de cálculo basada en el ciberperiodismo y diseño de gráficos digitales por computadora. Los resultados demostraron que infografías y proyectos en comunicación del conocimiento contribuye a la conceptualización en temas de cálculo, a desarrollar habilidades de comunicación en hipertextualidad, diseño, creatividad, interactividad, al mejoramiento de las habilidades en variedad, profundidad, redacción de textos y en el desarrollo de la competencia de interpretación de problemas.

In the present investigation, a reflection was made on the teaching practices in the area of mathematics that entails educational institutions conducive academic spaces to generate entrepreneurial attitudes in students. These are personalized from the voices of the participants, involving the student in the development of the entrepreneurial culture and in the basic competences generated from the mathematics. The complexity present in the teaching practice becomes significant in the student when it is possible to establish an interrelation with their social, cultural, economic environment and, above all, in the proactive action that the student develops in the face of any situation in life. A new feeling that allows manifestations in students of: autonomy, responsibility, innovation, creativity and to generate in them citizen awareness.

Mobile devices for the development of critical thinking in the learning of differential equations

The purpose of this research was to establish a relationship between mobile devices and the development of critical thinking in students of the differential equations subject. The research had a quantitative and qualitative methodological approach with quasi-experimental design, the sample was 110 students. Results: The integration of mobile applications favored and motivated the learning of the applications of differential equations, where the student develops critical thinking at the moment that creates, discovers, imagines and assumes. At the same time, when interacting with colleagues, it implements autonomous and collaborative learning, with the ease of access to information. Conclusion: Regarding the perception of students about this tool, 40% highlight its usefulness in understanding the topics and 51.2% step by step methodology. The average age of the students was 20 years with a standard deviation of 2.01 years.

La integración social e inclusión como eje transversal en la educación en Colombia han tenido un desarrollo característico dentro de las prácticas pedagógicas en los distintos niveles educativos. La investigación tuvo como propósito llegar a la comprensión de las prácticas pedagógicas y las representaciones sociales que emergen en el aula y fuera de ella por docentes y estudiantes universitarios pertenecientes a la tribu Inga, en torno al desarrollo de las Competencias Ciudadanas. La investigación se enmarca en el enfoque cualitativo sustentada en el método etnográfico hermenéutico, herramienta válida para la comprensión de los significados dados en un momento histórico. Categorías emergentes se enmarcan en los ámbitos de los estándares de Competencias Ciudadanas formulados por el Ministerio de Educación Nacional, convivencia y paz; participación y responsabilidad democrática y pluralidad, identidad y valoración de las diferencias, así mismo emergen categorías en vivienda, roles en la comunicación, trabajo. Conclusión: educación para la vida, la preservación de la salud y la naturaleza, es familia emergente asociada a la convivencia, comunicación, la transferencia de conocimiento y de la sociedad en la interacción con estudiantes de tribu Inga.
