The objective of the V International Meeting on Mathematics Education (V IMME) is to create and
maintain a space that privileges and promotes the culture of mathematics, reflection and discussion on
the education and application of mathematics, statistics, its history, evolution and didactics, and its
interrelation with the sciences. At the meeting, researchers, scientists, and mathematics teachers
socialize the results of research, consolidate networks for the exchange of successful experiences, to
strengthen mathematics education at different educational levels, promote innovation and encourage the
creation of policies, models, educational strategies, tools, and techniques in various areas of
mathematics. They also promote innovation and encourage the creation of policies, models, educational
strategies, tools and techniques in different areas of knowledge, and foster students' interest in research.
This academic space has been maintained, so in the first semester of 2017 the First International
Mathematics Education Meeting was held, with the presence and participation of teachers, students and
professionals from different university, basic and secondary education institutions. During the Summit,
researchers carry out activities such as, master conferences, short lectures. In this year 2021, the thematic
areas in this meeting were: Mathematics education for science and engineering, Physics-mathematics
applied to medicine, Modeling, simulation, and diagnostics, Applied physics-mathematics, Mathematics
and statistics, Application of physiochemistry, Computer science, Origami

Polya propose the didactic problem-solving strategy to strengthen the teaching and
learning processes in the mathematic field. Thus, this strategy can be applied in other fields
such as physics teaching the article proposes an evaluation strategy based on the design of a
rubric to assess the processes associated with solving mathematical problems, as a classroom
research work based on Research, Pedagogical Action. As one of the results, an analytical
rubric composed of criteria and indicators associated with the steps of Polya problem solving is
proposed, as well as a reflection associated with the teaching of problem solving in the
engineering area.

Lo que se presenta a continuación es un estudio basado en una metodología teórica documental que tiene como objetivo principal describir la relación que existe entre el entorno social y el bienestar emocional de los adultos mayores. En el desarrollo del artículo se define lo que es entorno social y bienestar emocional, así como se muestran las características que describen la etapa evolutiva de la vejez, edad adulta tardía o tercera edad, con la finalidad de mostrar la relación que existe entre cada una de esas definiciones. Los adultos mayores viven una etapa del desarrollo evolutivo determinada por el declive natural de las condiciones físicas, biológicas, intelectuales y psicoemocionales, lo cual es propio de las personas después de los 65 años, sin embargo, es necesario asumirlo desde la perspectiva de vejez positiva. Para ello es necesario conscienciar el potencial indiscutible de estímulo externo que posee el entorno social del adulto mayor para crear las condiciones objetivas y subjetivas que hagan de este momento vital una etapa satisfactoria.; What is presented below is a study based on a theoretical documentary methodology that has as its main objective to describe the relationship that exists between the social environment and the emotional well-being of older adults. The development of the article defines what is social environment and emotional well-being, as well as showing the characteristics that describe the evolutionary stage of old age, late adulthood or old age, in order to show the relationship that exists between each of these definitions. Older adults live a stage of evolutionary development determined by the natural decline of physical, biological, intellectual and psychoemotional conditions, which is typical of people after the age of 65, however, although aging is a natural and inevitable process, it should not be assumed in a negative or limiting way, because it can be, like other stages of life, a time of growth, learning new experiences and, therefore, evolution. For this it is necessary to raise awareness of the indisputable potential of external stimulus that the social environment of the elderly possesses to create the basic conditions that make this vital moment a satisfactory stage, full of opportunities and fullness.

The analysis of dynamic systems is a topic of great interest in the basic sciences since
it allows direct inference of the behavior of different systems. The study of physical phenomena
provides large databases that, if recorded at regular time intervals, constitute time series.
However, time series of geophysical data in many cases present missing data and their estimation
requires the application of valid methods that allow estimating reliable information to complete
the series since some analysis methods require these series to be complete. Two methods are
used in this article to estimate the missing values of the precipitation series in the city of San
José de Cúcuta, Colombia, the first one consists of considering the univariate data series and
applying an adjustment of the sequential conditional expectation method of forecasting with
restrictions, the second one refers to analyze the data series of a nearby station and through
multivariate methods establish the cointegration between the series, and then use this as a basis
for estimating the missing data in the analysis series. The two methods are recursive, a first
estimation of the model is made ignoring the missing data, an initial estimation of the missing
data is made, then a new estimation of the model parameters and a new estimation of the missing
data is made, the algorithm continues running with the new values replacing the values estimated
in the previous phase until the difference of the estimated values between successive iterations
is less than a value fixed beforehand. Finally, a comparison is made between the estimates made
by the two methods.
