AB - This article shows the results of a qualitative - hermeneutic study that sought to analyze the discourses and perceptions of education actors regarding the quality assurance system in Colombia and its impact on teacher training programs. The results show that the requirements for high quality accreditation of degree courses generate institutional stress and uncertainty in the Faculties of Education.
